Formed in 2019 through the merger of Heart of Texas Pool & Spa and Waco Pool & Spa, our family-owned and operated company has become one of Central Texas’ most trusted names in pool care, repair and backyard wellness.
Led by owners Tim McDow, Holli McDow, Jason Rich and Clare Rich, our team is known for delivering “service from the heart” through dependable service, expert repairs and genuine customer care. From weekly pool maintenance and equipment repair to free water testing, pool inspections, hot tubs, swim spas and wellness products, our mission is to make pool and spa ownership simple, enjoyable and stress-free for families throughout Waco and the surrounding areas.
Our growing showroom on Sanger Avenue features premium pool and spa products, including Sundance Spas, infrared saunas, cold plunges and more. In 2026, we proudly expanded into a second showroom space dedicated to Sundance Swim Spas and Dreammaker Spas, helping more families create relaxing, wellness-focused backyard spaces they can enjoy year-round.
Waco Pool & Spa has always been built on family, hard work and a passion for customer service.
Tim McDow began his career in the pool industry in 2000, working with renovation company Ceramic Designs before joining Aquatic Pools as a service technician. His dedication and work ethic quickly stood out. In 2002, Holli McDow joined the retail side of the business and, at just 20 years old, stepped into a management role. Around the same time, Holli's younger brother Jason Rich joined the team as a teenager, eventually managing pool maintenance routes and learning every aspect of the industry firsthand.
Together, Tim, Holli and Jason discovered a shared passion for pools, people and entrepreneurship. When the owner of Aquatic Pools retired in 2007, Tim and Holli took over the service division and spent the next decade building what became one of Waco's most respected repair and service companies.
Meanwhile, Jason had relocated to Australia to work in the oil and gas industry. But in 2014, an unexpected phone call from Holli changed everything: the original Aquatic Pools retail location — where their careers began — had become available. The dream they had talked about as teenagers suddenly felt possible.
In 2015, Jason returned home to Waco with his wife Clare, and together with Holli they launched Heart of Texas Pool & Spa. What started as a dream quickly grew into a thriving retail and service business built around family values, industry expertise and exceptional customer care.
By 2019, combining the two companies felt like the natural next step. With Clare officially joining the ownership team, Waco Pool & Spa was formed — bringing together decades of experience, trusted service and a shared vision for the future.
Today, family remains at the heart of everything we do. Our employees, customers and community are all part of what we proudly call the Waco Pool & Spa family.
